Non-ionic surface active agents
Surface active agents (SAA) are chemical compounds which cause surface tension to reduce by concentrating on the phase boundary.
Production of non-ionic (SAA) was founded in 1951. The range of products includes auxiliary substances OP-10, OP-7 and OP-4. The process technology involves interaction of mono- and di-alkyl phenols ethylene oxide in certain conditions, with the chemical reaction initially generating OP-4, from which OP-7 and OP-10 are synthesized. The total production capacity amounts to 12,000 tons per annum.
In 1970 Syntamide-5, another non-ionic compound was launched. To supply consumers with Syntamide-5, the prime quality environmentally friendly raw material, the process technology was modified, and starting from 2003 the product has been produced from natural raw material. The name has also been changed, and the product is now called Syntamide-5K. The production capacity equals 1,000 tons per annum.
